DOCUMENTS FOR CANDIDATES APPLYING FOR THE FIRST CYCLE STUDIES: BANCHELOR IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION - Banchelor (BA) in Physical Education - subjects and programme of studies.pdf (390.1 KiB)

  1. Online registration and application to the Rector for enrolment at studies;
  2. Legalised* maturity (secondary school-leaving) certificate or any other document entitling to apply for enrolment at study at a university of each type in the country in which the establishment issuing the certificate operates, which is recognised in accordance with the provisions on the recognition** of school certificates and examination certificates obtained abroad as equivalent to the relevant Polish certificate of maturity;
  3. Photocopy of the passport, visa, residence permit or other document authorizing to stay on the territory of the Republic of Poland;
  4. Medical certificate which states that there is no contraindications to undertake studies at GUPES
  5. Insurance policy in the event of illness or unhappy incidents for a period of education at GUPES, in Poland or the European Health Insurance Card or National Health Fund insurance
  6. Photos (on a CD);
  1. A certificate proving knowledge of English at least at B2 level according to the "Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;

All documents should be translated by a sworn translators from the list of sworn translators kept by the Minister of Justice or by a foreign translator certified by the Polish Consul. 

* Legalisation is made in the Polish diplomatic establishments in the country issuing these documents,

DOCUMENTS FOR CANDIDATES APPLYING FOR THE SECOND CYCLE STUDIES: MASTER IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION or MASTER IN MANAGEMENT IN SPORT - Management in Sport II degree - subjects 1.pdf (158.4 KiB)

  1. Online registration and application to the Rector for enrolment at studies;
  2. Legalised*  and recognized in accordance with the provisions on the recognition**  diploma of graduation from first cycle (undergraduate) studies giving entitlement to study at the second cycle;
  3. A certificate stating the equivalence of a diploma obtained abroad as equivalent with the Polish diploma of graduation of the first cycle studies,
  4. Photocopy of the passport, visa, residence permit or other document authorizing to stay on the territory of the Republic of Poland;
  5. Medical certificate which states that there is no contraindications to undertake studies at GUPES

In academic year 2015-2016 deadlines for online registration and application to the Rector for  enrolment at studies are as follows:

  • August 31, 2016 (winter semester or whole academic year)
  • January 15, 2017 (summer semester)

DOCUMENTS WHEN TRAVELLING TO GUPES

Please, when travelling to GUPES, take with you the following documents:

  1. your Personal ID Card or Passport (necessary for students from non-UE countries),
  2. medical insurance
  3. document indicating the length of your stay,
  4. document confirming, that your knowledge of either English or Polish is at least at B2 level.

Do not forget to bring with you ……. PLN (złoty) for your Student ID Card.

 

REGISTRATION AND APPLICATION

BEFORE YOU START FILLING IN THE REGISTRATION AND APPLICATION

Before you start to fill in the Application Form please prepare:

For candidates applying for the first cycle:

  1. electronic photo corresponding to documents - for your student ID Card at the GUPES (only jpg, jpeg, png, bmp format);
  2. scan of your Personal ID Card (both sides) or your Passport with pages with name and photo (the Passport is necessary for students from non-UE countries) (jpg or pdf file);
  3. scan of Medical certificate which states that there is no contraindications to undertake studies at GUPES;
  4. scan of maturity (secondary school-leaving) certificate;
  5. scan of your language certificate.

For candidates applying for the second cycle:

  1. electronic photo corresponding to documents - for your student ID Card at the GUPES (only jpg, jpeg, png, bmp format);
  2. scan of your Personal ID Card (both sides) or your Passport with pages with name and photo (the Passport is necessary for students from non-UE countries) (jpg or pdf file);
  3. scan of Medical certificate which states that there is no contraindications to undertake studies at GUPES;

Scan of the Transcript of Records and scan of the Personal ID Card / Passport, should be packed as one zip or rar file!!!

Max 1 MB for photo (jpg etc. files) and 2 MB for zip/rar files!!!

 OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION

 ACADEMIC YEAR

Academic year starts in the end of September or beginning of October - it varies each year. The first week of the semestre is very important for international students, so please, arrive before it starts. Each semestre ends with an exam period:

  • winter semestre: February
  • summer semestre: June (September only for those who do not pass in June). 

ACCOMODATION

Dormitory (students campus) 90€ per month

Sustenance - approximately 250€ per month

ENGLISH COURSE – for students who wants to improve their English

Parallel English course (studying MA in Sport Management or BA or MA in Physical Education at the same time as English course). The costs of that solution are 145€ per month. English lessons take part 5 times 4 hours per week.

POLISH LANGUAGE COURSE

Parallel Polish course (studying MA in Sport Management or BA or MA in Physical Education at the same time as English course). The costs of that solution are 80€ per month. Polish lessons take part 1 time 3 hours per week.

INTERNET ACCESS

The University offers a free Internet service for all students. Access to the service can be different at each Faculty. You are kindly requested to ask about all the application procedures as soon as you arrive. 

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

There is a very good public transport around University which allows students to move quickly to the other zones of TrioCity (Sopot, centre of Gdansk and Gdynia) : bus, train, tram.

Each bus stop or train station or tram station is no longer than 5 minutes away from domitory, even less. But main popular communication solution is train, which can get you to every main part of TrioCity all day and night. The cost of the tickt depends on the kilometers, for example 6-7 kilometers by train costs aproximetly 0,4€

Other solution is to buy Metropolitan ticket for all kind of communication and transport in TrioCity for 26,23€
